Dr. Crystal Jones said, "There's a huge difference between 'all are welcome here' and 'this was created with you in mind." Open to all staff, providers, hiring managers, teachers, and directors, and especially in leadership; this session provides practices for creating affirming environments that go beyond being "welcoming." From policies to written & oral communication, we'll discuss what LGBTQIA potential candidates as well as current employees are looking for and what keeps current LGBTQIA staff from looking elsewhere and feeling that they belong.
